Poderator
Keep the Pod
moving.

Met someone wearing this?
They're a Poderator. They keep a Pod of nine or more people together through a Build Cycle, from the first meeting to the Showcase.
- A volunteer. Looking after one Pod, for one Build Cycle.
- Not the teacher. Mentors bring the know-how. The Poderator makes sure everyone gets there.
- A role, not a certification. The button says what they're doing this cycle.
You'd meet one at a Pod meeting, a workshop at the public library, or the Showcase. Ask them what their Pod is working on.
Free. One Pod, one Build Cycle: about three months, busiest at the start and the end.
Poderators are chosen before each Build Cycle begins
Draft. A draft for review. The roles and their details aren't final until the board approves them.
What they do
Gather. Unstick. Launch.
01First
Gather the Pod.
They run the check-ins and the in-person events, and help everyone find their footing.
02Then
Keep it moving.
When a team stalls, they ask the question that gets it going, or bring in a Mentor.
03One day
Get them to the Showcase.
They watch the Pod show what it built.
Could this be you?
Simple, on purpose.
One Pod at a time.
One Pod, for one Build Cycle.
Trained first.
You're seated once you've done the Poderator training.
Questions over answers.
You keep the Pod moving. Mentors bring the know-how.
Free, always.
Nothing to pay, and nothing to sell.
How it works
You hold the room. The Pod does the rest.

Questions
Questions you might have.
Do I need to be an expert?
No. You keep the Pod together and moving. Mentors bring the expertise.
How much time does it take?
One Build Cycle: twelve weeks, busiest at the start and the end.
Is there training?
Yes. There's nothing to qualify for before you start: you train for the role, run your first Pod alongside someone who's done it, and earn your way to running Pods on your own by doing it well.
Is The Labs a bootcamp?
Not really. There's no curriculum to get through. Teams work on a real problem and learn what they need along the way.
Why start with an account?
Everything at The Labs runs through one free Upskilling account: workshops, Build Cycles and every role. Create it once by signing in with Google, and add paths whenever you like.
